Halina 35mm photos

Sun Jun 28, 2009, 9:26 AM
As a follow up from my journal where I bought two 1959 camera's at a carboot sale - I managed to process a roll of film from the Halina and I am very happy to say that all is in working order.
The photos are nothing special as I wasn't composing them all that carefully (I wasn't really expecting them to come out so didn't want to take great photos for nothing as it were). Anyway I've scanned a few of the prints in and uploaded them to photobucket, the scan quality isn't great and the original photos look much better (especially in the colour rendition) but I thought you might like to see some of the results.
Now I can go out and take lots more photos.
I'm really getting back into the idea of 35mm cameras - the old ones that is. I like not knowing what's going to come out and what I love about the Halina and the Ilford I have is that there are only so many adjustments you can make (a small selection of shutter speeds, f-number and approximate focusing distance) so it's even more of a hit and miss type thing.
Here's a link to the images on photo bucket, and the photos are a selection of Brighton and Pagham harbour: [link]

hey cutey - absolutely stunning portfolio - i have much catching up to do in order to enjoy your wonderful talents that i have been missing out on while closed away from the world in my winter hybernation :D

hope you are keeping well and have plenty of reasons to smile :D
I have plenty of reasons to smile and some not so much.
Life is generally speaking going well but on the downside I need to save up alot of money because I'm moving in April - have just spent the afternoon trawling through the freelance photographers handbook then emailing/writing letters to various companies from there, doubt anything will come of it but worth a try. Also my boyfriends car is in the specialists for repair as some idiot bashed into it a couple of months ago and it won't be fixed for over another month which means we have some travel issues not to mention more money down the plug hole. I cancelled a shoot today because of the weather then it decided to brighten up - oh well.
